Is it a good idea to study in China?

https://www.istudy-china.com/      I’d like to answer in the perspective of a Chinese student. Pros: Low tuition fee together with high acceptance rate. Sometimes even with a scholarship. Chinese are always very envious about that and sometimes blame our government for that. Privileges. Foreigners are first-class citizens compared to ordinary Chinese. I’d tell you a story, once a Japanese lost a bike, and it was found by the police just couple of days later, which was incredible for Chinese. Low labor prices. For example, you can take a taxi for 3km with less than 2 USD in most cities.(Maybe all the cities.). Eat out with 14 USD/person would be quite satisfying. (Actually 2 USD is about the average in the school canteen.) Teach English. As long as you are a white native speaker, 20 dollars/hr. is quite easy to earn in this developing country. (That’s higher than the Part-time job in the McDonald, right?) Professionals can even earn 100 USD/hr. Safety. Anyway I had ...

https://www.istudy-china.com/      Morning, everyone. It's 1:25 am in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province(southwest, near Tibet) I am under the BRT, alone, after walking for half an hour, waiting for the night bus. No, I don't work at midnight. I just left one apartment of mine to another(older one) on foot,to lose weight, so that I can avoid sunshine. It's coming. me and the driver. We are lonely. No, I am not the only girl walking alone at this moment That is not me Every block, we have a uygur stall or restaurant selling BBQ like this, and a Uygur guy in my neighborhood told me he can make close to 800 a night. His major concern was not the Han suppression as you quorans imagine. He was very annoyed by the fact that my neighborhood is too poor and he can't earn 600,000 a year like his Uyghur friend in Yulin neighborhood. So, this guy disappeared in just two weeks. I guess he moved to Sichuan University neighborhood for biz, as he told me. Very result-oriented. ...

https://www.istudy-china.com/      Hello, I currently attend a Canadian university, but I spent two years as an international student at Renmin University of China in Beijing, which is among the top 5 schools in China, especially if the subject is social sciences. For the most part, there is not a great deal of difference: Students go to class, complete assignments, write exams, participate in extracurricular activities, hang out with classmates/friends, etc. However, the in-class dynamics are somewhat different, and I cannot tell you why, but I believe there are cultural reasons for it. For example, students will never oppose the professor's opinion. I do not know if they are not allowed to, but trying to disprove a professor in class is seen as a sign of disrespect. I took an International Relations course at Renmin where the professor was a famous Chinese diplomat, who often met with heads of state and other high-level foreign representatives. I remember that th...

https://www.istudy-china.com/      I think I’m pretty qualified to answer this one, because that’s what I did. I went to Beijing in 2008 to do a 4 year bachelor’s degree in “Chinese Language and Culture.” Or “Chinese business.” Or… Just “Chinese.” Depends who you ask. I have a few reasons that you SHOULDN’T do it, and a few reasons that you SHOULD. Whether or not you DO depends alot on your goals. Here goes: DON’T GET YOUR DEGREE IN CHINA Reason 1: The quality of education is a toss-up. My university initially told me that I’d do 2 years of intensive language studies, then I’d pick a major, and I’d spend my latter two years studying with the Chinese students. How immersive! Yeah except that’s not what happened. I never got the opportunity to select a major, I just had 4 years of language study. We never had any classes with Chinese students, and we were actually discouraged from interacting with them for reasons unclear. Reason 2: It might not work outside of China...
